Proposal Project

This proposal was developed for submission to the University of Central Florida’s Office of Undergraduate Research in support of an independent student-led research project, as part of ENC3241. The project is titled Cracking Decentralized Crime: Using AI to Detect Fraud in Crypto Markets and aims to explore how artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning, can be applied to detect fraudulent behavior in cryptocurrency transactions.

By testing and comparing supervised and unsupervised models on open-source blockchain datasets, this research seeks to contribute meaningful insights to the fields of cybersecurity, financial technology, and digital forensics while addressing the growing need for fraud detection in decentralized finance.
